Theo Hicks is a doctoral student pursuing a DA in choral conducting with a secondary in vocal performance.

“I received my music education degree from Anderson University in 2010 and taught vocal music in Indiana public schools for 7 years. In 2017, I decided to continue my career goals and work on getting a doctorate to teach at the collegiate level, so I started my master’s degree in 2017 at Ball State. I love the atmosphere, program, and people here, so I decided to continue through to my doctoral studies!

“The Ball State University Choirs Chamber Choir has been selected to perform at the upcoming Regional American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) Conference in Milwaukee, WI. We have been working on the repertoire since the fall and have been working toward memory and heightened performance elements since January. As a member of the choir (tenor), it has been incredibly musically fulfilling to work on the repertoire with this much specificity and care.” 📸 @dzellidesign
