Mikaela Bradley is a music education major from Wheatfield, IN. Mikaela is one of Ball State University’s recently announced Top 100 Students of 2022!

“I joined choir in eighth grade and have been singing ever since. My grandfather has always been very active in the Barbershop Harmony Society and encouraged me to join choir and take an interest in the style of music. I started going to summer camps and singing in quartets of my own and it gave me a way to really connect and bond with my grandparents. My high school choir director saw how much of my energy I put into choir and encouraged me to consider music as a career path, but it wasn’t until I started getting really involved with the BHS that I knew it was something I wanted to do.

“Since coming to Ball State I have made a lot of wonderful memories with my friends and peers, but my favorite memory comes from my sisterhood Sigma Alpha Iota (@saiix_bsu). The memory that comes to mind is from last semester when I played Disney Trivia with my current and soon to be sisters. I just remember feeling so much joy in the moment and I connected with a lot of people who are now all really good friends.

“When I got the email that [I was a Top 100 Student], I was kind of blown away with myself. I’ve never received any kind of recognition or award before, so I am very overwhelmed and happy!”
