“I’ve been in several choirs for as long as I can remember, but I didn’t start studying voice until I came to Ball State. I was inspired to study voice because I had several great choir directors in high school. I then realized that I wanted to do what they do. Music and choir helped me build my personality and I want to be able to give that to others as well.
“I chose Ball State because it had everything I needed: it was a reasonable distance from home, the Music Education program was what I was looking for, and the campus is beautiful! The Music Education program has taught me to be resilient and to persevere to achieve my goals. I have overcome so many obstacles while participating in the program, and it is a really satisfying feeling to accomplish challenging goals. I am also so glad that I joined Sigma Alpha Iota at Ball State. Through them, I have gained so many amazing friendships that’ll last a lifetime.”
