“I’ve been singing practically since I was born since both of my parents are music educators. My sisters and I would always be singing and harmonizing together as we grew up. It’s always been a part of me, so it made sense to continue to learn more and grow my skills as a singer. I knew that the music education program at Ball State was really strong, so Ball State was always my first choice. Also, both my parents and my grandmother graduated from Ball State, so I wanted to continue the family tradition!
“One of my fondest memories at Ball State was when our chapter of CNAfME sponsored a trip to the IMEA conference with a group of Ball State music education students. As part of the board for CNAfME, I got to help set up all the details, and it was so rewarding to see all my peers attending all the events at the conference. The Ball State choirs were able to sing at that same conference and being able to perform there was amazing. The whole weekend was quite memorable.”
