Dulale is a graduate violinist.
“I started playing the violin when I was 7 years old. My mom loves music. She heard there was a new violin studio open in my hometown, so she brought me there and that is where it all started. My previous violin professor introduced me Ball State. I had a lesson with Dr. Yu-Fang Chen when I auditioned, and her passionate teaching impressed me deeply! All I have learned from her has had a profound influence on my playing and teaching.
“I have had so many great memories from my time here at Ball State, but if I could only choose one, I think my favorite is from last fall when I performed Shostakovich’s String Quartet No. 8 with my quartet. This piece is always one that touches my heart deeply and is the one on my “must play list”. I am also really excited for BSSO’s performance on October 26 when we will play Smetana’s The Moldau as this is another piece on my “must play list.”
