“My dad is a preacher, so I have been singing as long as I can remember. After singing at a wedding, I saw a flyer for the Singing Sergeants as I was sneaking out of the side door. The audition was one of the hardest I’ve ever done, but once I was offered the job, I knew it was an opportunity I couldn’t let pass.
“My favorite memories with the group include the first time I sang at Arlington National Cemetery, dancing with the president and Mrs. Obama at a White House barbeque, and singing with Renee Fleming in Super Bowl 48.
“At Ball State, I am looking forward to the opportunity to inspire young musicians to make radical changes to our world.”
