Fallon Carpenter is a second year Doctor of Arts student (primary-music theory; secondary-music education) from Oakman, AL.

“During my undergrad, music theory was my favorite subject and I would often tutor other students. The summer before my senior year, I attended a theory workshop for a week at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY, and the experience was incredible. I knew from that point I wanted to study and teach music theory. At Ball State I love being able to teach theory and aural skills to undergraduate students! It’s awesome being able to share my knowledge and create bonds with my students. I also play the flute in the New Music Ensemble (concert TONIGHT!). I look forward to sound painting and being able to create music on the spot with my fellow musicians.” 📸 @dzellidesign
