Grant Winternheimer is a junior music education major from Newburgh, Indiana.
“My greatest memory at Ball State has been the first orchestra concert I got the chance to listen to here. The BSSO performed Holst’s ‘The Planets’ and it absolutely transported me to an ethereal plane unlike anything I’ve ever experienced in my life. As this was early in my time at Ball State, I remember leaving the concert thinking, ‘This is home. This is where I’m supposed to be.’
“My plans for after graduation are to find a music program that has a great potential to make a difference in the lives of students, parents, and community members. Whether that is a small school or a large school, a middle school or a high school, an orchestra or a wind ensemble, my dream job is wherever there is a space that could be better filled with the joy of music. I hope to then expose students of diverse experiences, backgrounds, and skill sets to a diverse and comprehensive repertoire.” 📸 @dzellidesign
