Cameron Clevenger is a sophomore vocal performance major from Albany, IN.
“My fondest memory so far at Ball State was last semester when I had the honor of performing the role of Masetto in Mozart’s “Don Giovanni” with Ball State Opera Theatre. It was such an immersive experience and I got to work with many talented students and professors. I had never performed an opera role previously, but BSOT welcomed me with open arms and proved why the opera program here at Ball State University is unparalleled in the opportunities it provides for its students.
“In the upcoming opera, “Orpheus in the Underworld,” I am performing as Morpheus, the God of Sleep, as well as a Policeman of Love. I can’t say too much about these roles (you’ll have to come see it!) but I can tell you that in preparation for them, in addition to my normal routine of practice and rehearsals, I have been working very hard on my burlesque dancing skills for the Can-Can. I’m currently figuring out how to dance in a kick-line while wearing slippers and fishnet tights…” 📸 @dzellidesign
