In the 2018 fall semester, the School of Music piloted the Individual Lessons Program. This program offers individual vocal, instrumental, and composition lessons to youth and adults in Muncie and neighboring communities. Lessons are taught be faculty, graduate students, and advanced undergraduate students and take place on the Ball State campus.

• • • Weekly lessons will be offered in the fall and spring semesters and include 12 half-hour or 12 one-hour lessons per semester. This allows the School of Music to make teacher assignments, process employment paperwork (including a background check), and verify all teachers have completed the unaccompanied minor training module. Requests for additional lessons will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
  • • To begin the process, interested participants or their parents must complete the online registration form. The deadlines to register are:

  Fall Semester Registration Deadline: Wednesday, August 28, 2019 
  Spring Semester Registration Deadline: Monday, December 9, 2019
  Summer Sessions Registration Deadline: Monday, April 20, 2020
