Anthony Echarry is an undergraduate saxophonist from Noblesville, Indiana, and is currently on tour with the Jazz Lab Ensemble in Costa Rica!
“Ball State has definitely shown me what to do as a performance major. The jazz professors are top notch and offer an endless amount of knowledge when it comes to learning, playing, and teaching this particular style of music. We are offered many different kinds of playing opportunities in the jazz program which helps keep me on my toes!
“For Costa Rica we’ve prepared mostly Basie and Ellington charts with a few modern tunes thrown in the mix. What I’m most excited about is getting to play at the National Theatre in San José. We’re also going to be doing a clinic and master class with students from the University of Costa Rica.” 📸: @jkwcreative
