Emma Boyd-Ryan is a sophomore from Indianapolis pursuing a music media production major and physics minor.
“I think that Ball State has helped me to become a more-rounded musician. We learn about many aspects of the business, including performing, recording, music theory, music history, etc. These aspects have helped me to learn more about music as a whole, and also opened up career opportunities that I didn’t even know existed. Personally, it has been a very busy and challenging experience, and I think it has helped me to develop better time management skills and also decide which parts of my life take priority over others. I love the environment of the music school and have made a lot of friends because of the shared experience of being a music major.
“Outside of the School of Music I like to go rock climbing. I work at the Ball State climbing wall and like to take trips outside to places like the Red River Gorge and Looking Glass Rock to climb outdoors.” 📸: @jkwcreative
