This past Saturday was a festive, fun-filled day of school spirit for not only the Pride of Mid-America Marching Band, but for the whole university as well! Ball State celebrated homecoming on October 19th. The Pride of Mid-America proudly participated in the Homecoming parade, displaying school spirit by performing the Ball State Fight Song, Victory March, and drum cadences.. The marching band added in an extra bit in order to meet the people who were celebrating Homecoming. The band was able to go into the crowd during the parade and meet the people of Muncie. The parade was a wonderful time for Ball State students and the community!

At the homecoming game, The Pride of Mid-America showed off their second show of the season. Their show, “Dance Party,” is a combination of popular songs and some fan favorites to get the crowd involved. The Marching Band had the honor of performing alongside the dance groups Code Red, The Ballers, and Royal Elite. Thanks to Code Red, the band even learned some dance moves to perform with them. Lastly, POMA is proud to have performed alongside the Pride of Mid-America alumni on their first Alumni Band Day in fifteen years! The Marching Band had a full, and fun, day of performing, and they are proud to have supported the Ball State football team on their win against Toledo on their 93rd Homecoming.

The Pride of Mid-America hopes to continue these traditions and we cannot do it without the loving support of our fans. We formally thank our donors for their support and generosity in our fundraising campaign found at crowdfunding.bsu.edu/poma. Our music is able to play on with the help of our supporters.

Our next football game is on October 26th, so be sure to come out and support Ball State! Remember to keep up with POMA and follow us on social media, provided below. Chirp Chirp and Go Cards!
