This past Saturday, Sept. 14, the “Pride of Mid-America” Marching Band had a blast at their annual Family Day event! Family Weekend hosts events throughout the entirety of Ball State University such as exploring Christy Woods, tailgating for the football game, the Bell Tower recital, the Family Food Festival, tours at the David Owsley Museum of Art, and so much more!

Family Day for the “Pride of Mid-America” would not be complete without their own exciting activities! The day started with families and friends joining their students for doughnuts and coffee before rehearsal. Afterwards, our guests were able to sit in the stands and watch as their students rehearsed their halftime and pregame performances. Finally, the Pride of Mid-America families and friends were thrilled to join their students on the field to learn run-on and fanfare, and they did great! Charlie Cardinal was happy to be on the field and get some amazing pictures with the families and their students.

POMA was happy to host the families this past weekend, and we look forward to seeing more families, friends, alumni, and fans at Homecoming on October 19th. We’re hosting our first alumni band day in 15 years; more information can be found at bsu.edu/alumniband. Remember to follow us on social media, listed below, and keep looking out for more information about the “Pride of Mid-America.” Chirp Chirp and Go Cards!
