Society of Research Administrators International’s (SRAI) ‘Future of the Field’ recognition program aims to highlight the up-and-comers of Research Administration demonstrating leadership among their peers and institutions in innovative ways that advance the field.

Madelyn Heskett, Assistant Director of Post Award, Compliance, and Operations from Sponsored Projects Administration, was selected by a committee of Research Administrator peers, after the program received numerous nominations from around the globe. Applications were evaluated based on candidates’ career history, demonstration of exceptional professional growth, and significant contributions made to the advancement of Research Administration.

Madelyn Heskett served on the committee that spearheaded the creation of Unit Level Training in Research Administration for Staff (ULTRAS). This initiative features a series of sessions designed to cross-train Ball State staff in research administration.

‘Future of the Field’ honorees will be formally recognized at SRAI’s Annual Meeting this October in Honolulu.
