It’s less than two weeks until NHSJC in Seattle, which means it’s time to start thinking about our food options — because it’s never too early to start planning meals.

First, let’s start with something most people need to start their day: coffee. Want to check out the original Starbucks? Head over to Pike Place Market, which all has plenty of options for your food needs. A lot of Seattle’s must-eat places are in Pike Place Market, so block out some time in your day to explore everything this place has to offer.
Some popular Pike Place Market restaurants include:
Matt’s in the Market
Beecher’s Handmade Cheese
Pike Place Chowder
Cafe Campagne

If you’re feeling adventurous, try this restaurant on Eater’s Hottest Restaurants in Seattle list: FOB Poke Bar, which features build-your-own poke bowls (poke = cubed raw fish).

Or you can try some shellfish at Taylor Shellfish Oyster Bar, which is a bit of a further trek, but is well-worth the travel.

And if you want some classic seafood, check out Crab Pot, which is located on Pier 58.

But if you’re wanting to avoid fish altogether, check out Li’l Woody’s, which features signature burgers, Full Tilt milkshakes and root beer floats.

Maybe you’re a fan of breakfast food. If so, Sweet Iron is the place for you. This waffle bar has sweet and savory options for you to try, and you can top it off with some freshly squeezed juice.

And for dessert, check out Gelatiamo, a cute gelato shop near the hotel, or TCBY, a frozen yogurt chain.
