In addition to the normal day-to-day tasks of providing customer support and getting ready for the return to campus, Information Technology’s support staff have repurposed several computers for loan to Muncie Community Schools.

Since all Ball State testing labs are now permanently closed, IT’s support staff has been moving the computers from the RB134 Testing Lab into the Student Center Computer Labs (SC 118 and 119). Laura Petty, Director of Unified Technology Support, worked with Tony Harvey, CIO of Muncie Community Schools, to arrange to loan them the computers previously in the Student Center Labs. This includes 16 Lenovo all-in-one computers and 20 desktop computers with monitors.

Staff from Information Technology’s Desktop Support, Hardware Repair and ICSS prepared the computers, including securely wiping the drives, labeling them with the required Ball State stickers, and staff from Muncie Community Schools picked the computers up from the Student Center on Monday, June 22.
