Now that summer is under way, many are looking for new and exciting ways to fill their time. DOMA has many opportunities and activities to fill one’s time. This June, classes will be offered on painting and drawing with artist-teacher Aaron Nicholson. There will also be an arts festival on the Quad which will conclude with a performance by the Muncie Symphony Orchestra.

Executive Director of the Muncie Symphony Orchestra, Alena McKenzie, comments on the festival, “It is free, always very well-attended, family-focused and offers an abundance of social interaction opportunities in a fairly small grassy area helping you get to know people underscoring a sense of belonging to this community. This event is great for sampling the Muncie art scene and just have fun with families and friends outdoors. We often get people from out of town and our goal is to grow it into a destination regionally as one of Indiana festivals.”

The museum is the perfect place this summer to not only try new hobbies, but to also attend family-friendly events and see a beautiful and artistic side of Muncie.
