Dr. Jane Anyango Receives National Excellence in Writing Award

We proudly celebrate Dr. Jane Anyango, Assistant Professor of Nursing at Ball State University, for receiving the Nursing for Women’s Health Excellence in Writing Award from the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN).

This national honor recognizes outstanding scholarly writing that advances knowledge and practice in women’s health nursing. Dr. Anyango’s award-winning article was published in Nursing for Women’s Health, AWHONN’s official journal, and the recognition will be formally presented during the AWHONN Convention on June 21–25, 2025, in Orlando, Florida.

Dr. Anyango’s work reflects the mission of the College of Health—advancing research that impacts lives. Her contribution brings vital attention to women’s health topics and showcases the caliber of scholarship emerging from Ball State’s School of Nursing.
