Architect Clover Lee will present her work on April 10, closing out the Estopinal College of Architecture and Planning’s 2022-2023 lecture series. Lee is the founder and director of plusclover. Her lecture is titled “Objects in the Mirror are Closer than They Appear.”
Established in the US in 2001, plusclover relocated to Hong Kong in 2009, where they have completed a body visually unique projects which are included in the recently published monograph Amass. plusclovers’ work has been published widely in journals, newspapers and books throughout Asia, Europe and the US and exhibited in Venice, Korea and China.
The firm’s diverse portfolio ranges from residential interiors and retail design that reflect an alternative luxury to public art installations and buildings marked by a unique visual identity. Favoring collaboration, plusclover pulls together talent and expertise for projects of all scales and sectors across Asia and the United States.
Lee received her Bachelor of Architecture degree from Cornell University and a Master of Design Studies from Harvard University. She has taught at Rice University, Chinese University Hong Kong, UCLA, USC and University of Michigan.
The lecture will explore the intellectual and aesthetic practices of architecture.
