A Message from Alan
Gratitude. That is the value that I’ve been thinking about since I announced that I am leaving Ball State for another opportunity. I am grateful for this place, all of you, the work that you all do, and how you go about it. While this change is what I believe is best for me at this point in my career, it was a difficult decision. Difficult because of the many wonderful people that I’ve met here. I know that you all will continue doing the work that you do, in the same meaningful way that you have always done it. I know you will all continue to care for each other and help each other when it is needed. I am confident that Ball State will continue to be the great institution it has been for generations. Thanks to all of you for the part you play in the success of our students, and each other. I am grateful that all of you have been part of my life for the past five-plus years. I will miss you, and I wish you all the very best. Thank you for everything that you do and will continue to do.
Sincerely,
Alan
Special Thanks
Join us in extending our thanks to the Landscape Services crew for their efforts to keep campus streets, sidewalks, and parking lots clear of snow through the winter. We greatly appreciate you all working evenings and early morning hours when it’s very cold and snowing!
What’s Coming?
The 2nd annual Employee Engagement Survey will be open from February 10-28, 2025. Starting February 10, full time and part time employees* will receive an email from Gallup with a unique link to take the survey. We are asking you to take part in the employee engagement survey:
- To ensure this is the best place to build a career
- To ensure that workplace needs are met to perform at the highest level
- Because we believe that this survey is simple and easy to take action on the results
*Part-time faculty and temporary employees are not included in the survey.
