Why did you decide to come to Ball State?

-Emmanuella: I chose Ball State University because of its strong economics program, which provides a solid foundation for my career goals. The university’s supportive environment for international students and its academic resources made it an ideal choice. Ball State offers the tools I need to navigate both academic challenges and cultural differences as I work toward my degree

How is your work in Business Affairs shaping your academic experience?

-Emmanuella: My work with the Budget Office is closely tied to my academic experience, as it provides me with practical knowledge in financial management within a higher education setting. This directly complements my economics major and is highly relevant to my career goal of becoming a budget analyst in the higher education field. Through this role, I’ve gained valuable experience in budgeting processes, resource allocation, and financial analysis, which are key skills for my future career.

-Emmanuella: In addition to my academic and professional experiences, I serve as part of the Operations Team with the Dean’s Student Advisory Board at the Miller College of Business. This role allows me to engage with other student leaders and contribute to improving the student experience within the college. It’s been a rewarding way to develop leadership skills and connect with the campus community.
