Thirty-three of the 200 high-achieving high school and college students who were awarded a Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship by the Indiana Commission for Higher Education will be attending Ball State University in the fall.

Did you participate in any extracurricular activities in high school?

I participated in basketball, track, student council, and soccer.

What are you planning on studying at Ball State?

I plan to double major in Elementary Education and Special Education.

I want to become a teacher to help others like my teachers helped me.

What made you choose Ball State?

It has a really good Teachers College, and most of my family attended Ball State.

When you think about heading to college in the fall, is there something you are most excited about/looking forward to?

I look forward to meeting new people and having some more freedom.

Do you have any hobbies? If so, what?

I love hanging out with friends and going out on any adventure.
