Lexi Leisure on Campus

Inspiration

Lexi Leisure is a junior from Noblesville, Indiana, studying Elementary Education with a minor in both English as a Second Language, and Gifted and Talented. Taking inspiration from her grandmother, who was a teacher and principal, Lexi always knew she wanted to be an educator. In fact, in pre-school, she declared that she wanted to be a principal and “rule the school.” Lexi learned firsthand what it looks like to have a heart for teaching youth, and she shares that passion with her grandmother.

Campus Life

At Ball State, Lexi stays busy with several campus organizations, including the Homecoming Steering Committee, Ball State Navigators, Alpha Omicron Pi, Future Educators Peer Mentors Program, and the Honors College. Last summer she participated in an immersive program and was inspired:

“Last summer I did the Camp Adventure Summer Immersive Program with Professor Stacey Allred. She is the best! She is another role model in my life and the person who nominated me for Top 100!” -Lexi Leisure

Making Plans

Lexi is expecting to graduate in May 2023. Although she isn’t sure of the location yet, she does plan to work as an elementary education teacher.

In her downtime, Lexi loves camping, outdoor activities, and going to concerts in the summer. She also leads a bible study on campus for fraternity and sorority members.

Congratulations Lexi!
