The Ball State University Libraries Digital Media Repository (DMR) hosts more than 325 digital collections containing more than 257,00 records of digital artifacts from various library and archives collections.  Represented in the DMR are 781 individual archival collections. To expand access and discovery, the University Libraries partners with the Indiana State Library.

163,508 records for objects from DMR collections are linked in Indiana Memory, a project of the Indiana State Library, and the Digital Public Library of America (DPLA) solution.  Ball State University is currently the largest contributor to Indiana Memory and the 10th largest provider of film and video assets to the DPLA.

DMR Collections represent a vast scope of local history, cultural heritage content,  and primary source material used to support teaching and learning at Ball State University. The DMR is a long standing and important project of the University Libraries built by dedicated staff in Archives and Special Collections, Metadata and Digital Initiatives, and Library Data and Discovery Solutions.  And drawing and document content from The Seager Archives of the Built Environment is part of the DMR as well.
