The tenth annual “Love Your Computer” event hosted by the Tech Center is tradition for Ball State students. The Tech Center and Technology Store provided students with insights on how to keep their computers clean from physical damage and viruses. Students were equipped with information on a recent surge of phishing emails and had questions answered by tech support.
This year’s Valentine’s Day was all about keeping a healthy computer. Cleaning, tech security, and being weary of phishing emails helped spread the love in the Tech Center. It is vital to educate students about these topics to increase the longevity of their devices.
“Loving Your Computer” is not just for your device. It is also about students being knowledgeable about their computers. The Tech Center wants to create a safer digital environment for everyone at Ball State and provide information about their services. When looking for support, the Tech Center and Technology
Store want to be the first resources for students to approach problems.
After this year’s success, the Tech Center and Technology Store will continue to celebrate digital safety and taking care of your computers. Be sure to stop by next year and love your computer!
