Thank you to all of the amazing graduate students who attended our annual Write On! Writing Retreat. This year we had 85 registered students at the retreat who engaged in structured writing time, received faculty feedback, and enjoyed wonderful food from BSU catering.
The morning started with a keynote address from Dr. Tim Hess, Associate Director for Clinical Services and Psychologist, on how to imagine and respond to poster phenomenon. Students were able to take control of and process the way that imposter phenomenon impacts their own life by crafting their own interpretation of the imposter voice using Playdoh.
During the retreat, students had the option of attending breakout sessions or taking advantage of two dedicated writing spaces. The Graduate School gave out free swag to wrap up the event, and closing remarks were given by Doctor Robin Phelps-Ward, the Associate Dean of the Graduate School here at BSU.
A special thanks to all of our facilitators, faculty, and staff who made our annual Write On! Writing Retreat possible. We hope to see all of you next year and at future Graduate School events.
