One Ball State Day is finally here! The Ball State University Foundation and Philanthropic Education Council will be hosting a variety of events from the Cardinal Cab to Pizza with the President. There are activities for everyone as these events span across campus and many different colleges.
Below is a guide for alumni, students, and faculty to get a glimpse into the different options they can participate in throughout the day. We are so excited to see the Cardinal Spirit thrive!
Visit Headquarters
Event Description: Join us at our OBSD Headquarters throughout the day for a variety of events, giveaways, and general celebration of the university that we love!
Location: Scramble Light and Emens Plaza
April 3rd: 9 am – 4 pm
Chuck a Duck
Event Description: OBSD donors can swing by Frog Baby to cast a red rubber duck into the fountain. Let’s fill it up!

I Spy Charlie
Event Description: I Spy Charlie is treasure hunt taking place throughout the day, as students are encouraged to follow the clues from the Ball State Foundation Instagram to track down our missing mini Charlie! Students who return Charlie to our headquarters will receive a prize, and a few will get to designate challenge dollars to a fund of their choice!

Donuts with the Deans
Event Description: Deans from Ball State’s academic colleges will hand out donuts to students in classrooms and common areas of their respective buildings on the morning of OBSD.

Cardinal Cab
Event Description: Hour-long trivia games on a Ball State-wrapped shuttle bus, hosted by various university and alumni guests!

Dash and Splash
Event Description: For the second time ever, campus leaders and VIPs will race across Lewellen Pool on adult-sized inflatable ducks for a chance to earn challenge dollars to the fund of their choice! Stop by to watch the festivities and cheer on your favorite participants!

Pizza with the President
Event Description: President Geoffrey Mearns will be serving up grab-and-go Cousin Vinny’s Pizza to attendees at our OBSD headquarters! First 450 people will receive a slice!

Spirit Parade
Event Description: A vibrant display of Ball State pride featuring students, faculty, cheerleaders, and Charlie Cardinal. Led by the Ball State Police Department, the parade will kick off at Lafollette Field and conclude at Emens Plaza in time for Shakes & Shirts at 2 p.m.

Shakes and Shirts
Event Description: Sponsored by Steak n’ Shake, the first 100 Ball State students, faculty, and staff in attendance will receive free milkshakes at our OBSD Headquarters! Select participants will also receive milkshake gift cards and fun swag!

Trustee & Student Cardinal Games
Event Description: Students, Trustees, and other university leaders will compete against one another in Touchdown Toss, Cardinal Cornhole, Stache for Cash, and CARDS.

Insider Chat with Ball State Athletics
Event Description: This insider’s chat will be hosted by Mick Tidrow, and will feature exclusive interviews with Athletic Director Jeff Mitchell, current student athletes, and special guest; former Ball State football standout and Super Bowl LVIII Champion, Nic Jones.

One Ball State Day Regional Events
Event Description: Alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends of Ball State are invited to show their cardinal pride. Join us for a day of celebrating Ball State at one of our regional club events!
