Go-getting. Optimistic. Driven. These three things barely scrape the surface of the Project Management powerhouse that Sydney Jauregui is.

“If I do something, I’m giving it 100%, at least.”

Over the past three years, Sydney has been growing in the areas she knew the least about, and that was on purpose. While she has managed several projects pertaining to videos, social media campaigns, PBS television shows, and more, her favorite would be software development projects.

“[Development projects] have really just challenged me to ask the right questions to understand, so that I understood the development process better, and knew how to better manage the project for the sake of the students who are working on it as well.”

Sydney’s projects at the Digital Corps have allowed her to focus on collaboration and connection with other people, clients, students, and coworkers alike. She strives to make each person feel heard and wants them to know that their work is appreciated. Over the years she has figured out how to advocate and care for her team.

“I think just understanding that we all come from different places, different places of interest, and we all have different passions. I’m really passionate about organization, communication, and all that kind of stuff, but that may not be someone else’s interest. I learn so much whenever I ask about other people’s interests or have a quality conversation with them.”

She takes this love of learning and advocation and applies it to much more than just The Digital Corps. She’s utilized these skills and honed them with her job experience in the ‘real world’ and in her day-to-day life.

While Sydney is a dedicated professional, she’s also a huge advocate for hobbies and taking time for yourself.

“I know that for some people, their job or their professional experience defines who they are, and I’m trying to make the separation between things I actually enjoy and work.”

Sydney Jauregui has made an impressive impact on each and every project she has touched over the years and has taught and fostered such a kind and positive environment for her peers. At the Digital Corps, we have loved watching her grow, learn, and change, and we are excited to see what she does in the future!
