“My time at the Digital Corps has been filled with a series of exciting experiences, discoveries, and collaborative learning.”
Chibuike Anyiam, Development Team apprentice, walked into the Digital Corps in Fall 2025 with an open mind and already spectacular development skills. He is driven, thoughtful, and resilient.
Over the past two years here at the Corps, Chibuike has worked on numerous projects for Ball State, including some very high-bar collaborative projects. Chibuike particularly thrived in big projects that prioritized collaboration and full-team involvement. “[Projects have] helped me understand the relevance of constructive feedback, and it is always nice to get a different perspective on things,” he said.
Some of Chibuike’s favorite projects have included the Digital Corps Touchscreen project, where he coded the aspects of the design into interactable buttons, and the IT Phishing Awards project, where he coded the entire system that tracked the number of phishing emails each department received. “The IT Phishing Awards project […] was a bit challenging because it was my first major project at the Digital Corps,” Chibuike said. “What helped me was asking more questions about the issues I was having, and I got good feedback.”
When Chibuike isn’t coding away for the Digital Corps, or in class, he is homing in on his other skills, like “animal husbandry (poultry and snails), playing the clarinet, and men’s haircutting.” His skillset is broad, and his passions are strong. He and a few colleagues and friends have already begun working on two startup businesses.
Chibuike and Sinclair Nzenwata, fellow Digital Corps Development student, have founded two startups: SportyKore, an Africa-first sports technology company focused on grassroots football, and Naahia, a campus-exclusive platform for students and staff to connect.
The Digital Corps has loved the time that we have shared with Chibuike and are so grateful we had the opportunity to support him in his journey. We wish him nothing but luck!
