Tony Elliott, an architect and an instructor in Interior Design will discuss his adventurous career and the many twists and turns a design career may follow.
Elliott has worked all over the world. Projects include the JW Marriott and Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, a casino, hotel, and airport terminal in Las Vegas, the US Air Force Academy cadet chapel renovation in Colorado Springs, and the transportation center at Chicago’s O’Hare airport. Overseas, he worked on The Gate on Reem Island, Abu Dhabi, UAE; the Intercontinental Hotel in Libya, BaHa Mar Resort Casino in Nassau, Bahamas, and more. He completed residential evaluations for the hurricane relief effort in the US Virgin Islands of St. Thomas and St. John and is the developer of the iPhone app WALL-IT, a paint and wallcovering calculator.
Elliott is also the author of Sketchbook: Benghazi: ‘Day of Rage’ through an Architect’s Eyes, a reflection on working in Libya during violent protests in 2011, the time of the Arab Spring.
