The William & Evelyn Stokes Art or Mathematics Educators Scholarship is dedicated to supporting students demonstrating financial need in pursuing an undergraduate degree in Art or Math education at Ball State University. Twelve Ball State students were awarded the 2022-2023 scholarships, and as the 2023-2024 deadline to apply approaches, we are highlighting a few of this year’s winners. Next up is Megan Pax.

I want to help educate students in the realm of art and make a positive impact on their futures.
What made you choose Ball State?
I chose Ball State because of the art education program and honors college.

I like reading, drawing/painting, and playing the bass guitar and piano.

My favorite genre of music is metal.

My favorite artist is James Ensor, and my favorite painting style is wet-on-wet.
