Thirty-three of the 200 high-achieving high school and college students who were awarded a Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship by the Indiana Commission for Higher Education will be attending Ball State University in the fall.

Did you participate in any extracurricular activities in high school?
I participated in marching band, pep band, concert band, show choir, theater, student council, Key Club, National Honor Society, International Thespian Society, drama club, Boy Scouts, Relay For Life, and Voice Indiana.
What are you planning on studying at Ball State?
I am majoring in Music Education
What makes you want to become an educator/teacher?
I want to instill values and knowledge into the next generation as others have instilled into me.
What made you choose Ball State?
My mom’s entire side of the family attended Ball State and I instantly fell in love with the campus and atmosphere.
When you think about heading to college in the fall, is there something you are most excited about/looking forward to?
I am looking forward to meeting new people and creating lifelong friendships.
Do you have any hobbies? If so, what?
My favorite things to do are to play music and hang on the lake.
