Are you involved with any sports or clubs, etc. at Ball State? If so, what?

I have been a Council of Teachers of Mathematics Member for two years, and I am the Secretary. I also have been a middle school and high school Campus Life Volunteer for two years.

What are you studying at Ball State?

I am majoring in Mathematics-Secondary Education with a minor in Multicultural Education.

What makes you want to become an educator/teacher?

When I was in fifth grade, my teacher really helped me when I was struggling with math and took time to make sure I understood what we were doing. I want to be able to help like my teacher did for me.

What made you choose Ball State?

I looked at a couple different schools, but Ball State is known for the best teacher program and was “in my backyard”. I grew up here in Muncie and knew campus for the most part. It took a couple months for me to pick Ball State, but it was the BEST choice I could have made!

Do you have any hobbies? If so, what?

I love reading the Divergent books, listening to music, and baking with my family around the holidays. I also love playing with my dog!

Fun fact about yourself:

At age one and a half I was adopted from Belize, as well as my sister, but we are not blood related.
