Thirty-three of the 200 high-achieving high school and college students who were awarded a Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship by the Indiana Commission for Higher Education will be attending Ball State University in the fall.

I was involved in Softball, Student Council, National Honors Society, and the President of French Club.

What are you planning on studying at Ball State?

Elementary Education

What makes you want to become an educator/teacher?

I’ve been involved in a Tomorrow’s Teacher Program for three years and I want to give all children the opportunity for an equal and quality education.

What made you choose Ball State?

It’s the perfect fit as far as location, size, classes, and campus life. I am so excited to attend!

When you think about heading to college in the fall, is there something you are most excited about/looking forward to?

I’m looking forward to exploring campus and meeting new friends.

Do you have any hobbies? If so, what?

I play softball and like hanging out with my friends to go bowling, shopping, and playing basketball.

Fun fact about yourself:

I have a dog named Rizzo named after previous Cub’s first baseman Anthony Rizzo.
