Thirty-three of the 200 high-achieving high school and college students who were awarded a Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship by the Indiana Commission for Higher Education will be attending Ball State University in the fall.

Did you participate in any extracurricular activities in high school?

I participated in volleyball, tennis, basketball, Future Farmers of America, student council, and model legislature. I was also a class officer, and 10-year 4-H member.

What makes you want to become an educator/teacher?

I love being a role model for the next generation of students and it brings me happiness and fulfillment knowing that I can be that guide in a students life to success.

What made you choose Ball State?

Ball State was the only college I visited that truly felt like home. Ball State is a place where I can gain independence and find my own passions.

When you think about heading to college in the fall, is there something you are most excited about/looking forward to?

I am mostly excited for student life: going to games, joining clubs, and making lifelong friendships.Anna Drake Fall

I enjoy reading, hiking, gardening, and playing piano.
