Thirty-three of the 200 high-achieving high school and college students who were awarded a Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship by the Indiana Commission for Higher Education will be attending Ball State University in the fall.

Did you participate in any extracurricular activities in high school?

I participated in the academic bowl, Latin Club, the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), art club, jazz band, tennis, and golf.

What are you planning on studying at Ball State?

Latin education

What makes you want to become an educator/teacher?

My amazing teachers who showed me that they enjoy their jobs and how teaching is a viable option.

What made you choose Ball State?

Ball State is known for being a teaching college and the fact that many of my teachers went there.

When you think about heading to college in the fall, is there something you are most excited about/looking forward to?

I am most excited about continuing my Latin and mythology education.

Do you have any hobbies? If so, what?

Painting and writing.

Fun fact about yourself:

I read Percy Jackson because I loved mythology, instead of the other way around.
