In May 2021, Sponsored Projects Administration officially welcomed its newest member of the team, Liz Haney. As the Director of Sponsored Projects Administration, Liz oversees the post-award functions of the research administration process and serves as co-director with Jackie Davis, Director of Sponsored Projects Development.

Liz began this career in 2008 after having enjoyed success as a published research scientist. Liz will bring to Ball State hard-won experience from having served within sponsored projects administration at the University of Chicago, the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering at Harvard University, Middlebury College, and most recently, St. Lawrence University. Throughout, Liz has been entrusted with ever-increasing responsibilities, serving in multiple leadership roles, and has helped each institution to attain new levels of external funding.
