The Office of Information Security has successfully enrolled all students into two-factor authentication for their Ball State accounts. This follows our 2019 employee rollout and now totals more than 27,000 active Duo users. As a result of this and other security tools implemented, OISS has seen a significant decline in compromised accounts.
Moving forward, all new Ball State accounts are automatically enrolled into two-factor authentication, increasing the overall security of the university.
