Even in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the University is still hiring some employees, and they will need a Ball State ID card if they will be working on campus. Others may need a replacement card. As a result, the ID Card Office has made some accommodations to serve our employees.
All new employees and essential staff needing a new or replacement Ball State ID card should send an email to idcards@bsu.edu. Include a photo of your identity verification (driver’s license or passport) and attach a valid picture file to use on the card. You may block out or cover your driver’s license or passport number for security purposes. You can find the requirements for the ID card photograph on the Information Technology website.
After we receive an acceptable photo, the Card Office will print the ID card and schedule a day and time to meet you at a pre-determined location and time. This process eliminates any need for you to come to the office, and providing your ID card in an envelope outside the office meets the social distancing requirements.
The ID Card Office is tentatively set to open in July when campus offices begin reopening. For more information or to get answers to any questions you may have, contact the ID Card Office at 765-285-2273.
