Cindy Cash, IT’s Functional Area Technical Liaison in the Enterprise Project Support Office, is a certified Laughter Yoga Leader and is hosting an online Laughter Yoga session specifically for IT employees.

Dr. Madan Katria started Laughter Yoga in 1995 as a way to relieve stress and with the hope of bringing about world peace. Cindy became a Laughter Yoga Leader in 2015 to exercise her vocal cords after thyroid cancer surgery. She has presented sessions to various groups and classes on campus, at assisted living facilities, community centers, a car show, and most recently online for the Working Women in Technology conference.

“Laugh online to keep your mind positive and strengthen your immune system. Laughter Yoga is like a low-impact aerobic exercise (cardio workout), which brings more oxygen to the body and brain, thereby making one feel more energetic and relaxed. Join us to participate in a little online Laughter Yoga to relieve the stress of everyday life.”

This special Laughter Yoga session for IT employees will be held on Wednesday, May 13 at 11:30 am via WebEx. We’ll be sending all IT employees an email the day of the session with details to join the WebEx. You’ll need an audio connection, but video is optional. No mats or other special equipment required—just bring your laughter!

In addition to the special session for IT employees on May 13, Cindy has another online Laughter Yoga event coming up on May 8, at 11:30 am.
