To kick off the beginning of the 2025 spring semester, Northwestern Mutual visited the Indiana Connections Lounge in Lucina Hall. The Career Center invited the Digital Corps to a “low-pressure” networking opportunity for students, alumni, staff, and faculty.

This event touched on a multitude of topics:

  • Career Development for students
  • General student info
  • Jobs for students
  • Training and workshops

This was a great opportunity for Digital Corps students to connect and engage with representatives from Northwestern Mutual and VIPs from the finance industry. These representees talked about their journey to success, all the while reassuring students they will be successful on their path in getting new jobs.

Northwestern Mutual was engaged in connecting with new graduates and current students who are natural communicators, visionary leaders, and master’s at building meaningful relationships. Creating an inviting atmosphere in the lounge, Northwestern Mutual wanted to build a community with the same interests to secure everyone’s individual futures

“The representatives showed us a light at the end of the tunnel for those who might be hesitant about finding a job in IT,” Digital Corps Communication Apprentice Christine Ditizio said. “I thought it provided a strong sense of security, especially for those entering the tech field.”

Regardless of the event, students across campus should always remember to shake hands, make friends, and explore new possibilities.
