For the first time, the Tech Center staff were invited by the Admissions Office to participate in the spring orientation program. Marchal Hudson was one of the precentors that introduced tech help services to over 200+ students in eight-panel sessions.
New students and transfer students got to learn about the accommodations available to them through the Tech Center at BSU. Services like:
- PrintSmart
- Microsoft Office
- Adobe Creative Cloud
- Tech store offerings
- Employment Opportunities
These are a snippet of the benefits that come with being a Ball State Student.
To advocate for student’s academic, professional, and social development the panels laid out vital information about service hours and free resources. Students even paid a visit to the tech store the same day to get a jumpstart on the services available to them. The orientation wanted to make technology a handy tool for students instead of being a service that was inconvenient and out of reach for them.
Committed to student success, Marchal Hudson explains that “providing access, availability, and technical support to students helps assure they succeed at Ball State, being able to represent the Tech Center, a division of Information technology is a part of our commitment.”
The Ball State Technology Store, located on the first floor of Bracken Library, covers all the bases for students and staff, from the testing the newest technology to getting services for broken tech. The staff wants to ensure your success here at Ball State.
