We are excited to welcome Clay Courtney to our team as a Hardware Repair Technician. In this role, Courtney will perform hardware support and repairs for PCs, printers, and other related hardware across university-owned systems. He will also investigate and resolve hardware-related issues, perform system maintenance, and assist with inventory management.

Courtney’s role is important, as he will help ensure smooth operations for students, faculty, and staff. Whether you need diagnostic testing, hardware installations, or one-on-one support through the Technology Store and TechTime, he has you covered!

“Clay’s background made him a perfect fit for this role. With 6 years of customer service experience and 3 years of specialized work in hardware repair, he brings a strong blend of technical skill and a passion for helping others,” Brandon Campbell, Director of Unified Technology Support, said. “His positive attitude and eagerness to learn stood out during the selection process, making him an ideal addition to our team. Whether advising university clients on the best solutions or recommending inventory purchases, Clay is committed to providing high-quality support.”

Before transitioning to hardware repair, Courtney spent five years working as a Graphic Designer, which has equipped him with a unique perspective and creativity in problem-solving. His hobbies include video games, miniature painting, tabletop gaming, and 3D printing.

“We are confident that his diverse experience and enthusiasm will enhance our services and support the university community’s tech needs,” Campbell said.

IT looks forward to seeing the positive impact Courtney will have as he helps keep systems running smoothly and supports both staff and students.
