Information Technology is thrilled to announce the promotion of Jerry Pierce to the position of Senior Manager of IT Support within the Unified Technology Support (UTS) Tech Center. 

In this new role, Pierce will provide leadership, management, and technical expertise as part of the Desktop Support and Technology HelpDesk team. He will be an instructional and problem-solving resource for Senior IT Support Technologists, full-time staff, and student employees within UTS. Pierce will also advise and support faculty, students, and staff, ensuring a smooth resolution of various technical, informational, and policy-related issues while monitoring and escalating concerns to UTS leadership as necessary.

With over 35 years of relevant experience, including supervisory roles, high-level desktop support, and project management, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the team,” Brandon Campbell, Director of Unified Technology Support, said. “Jerry’s unwavering commitment to customer service, combined with his leadership qualities, positions him perfectly to excel in this new role.” 

Additionally, Pierce just completed the Filewave Certified Administrator program and earned the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification. His experience, knowledge and dedication will foster a supportive and efficient environment for staff and users. 

Outside of work, Pierce enjoys exploring new adventures with his wife, whether biking, running, or navigating in one of their beloved Jeeps. He also cherishes time spent with his family and friends.
