On April 29, 2024, Cindy Cash was promoted to Assistant Director of the Enterprise Project Management Office.

Cash has worked for Ball State University for nearly 11 years. She started her career in March 2013, working in the Division of Strategic Learning as an instructional designer.

Cash has come a long way from her first job—working for the Coca-Cola Bottling Company as a receptionist after high school. Without her first job, however, her career would’ve been much different. As a receptionist, mentors of hers encouraged her to take classes in Information Technology at Ivy Tech Community College to help support their IBM system 34. This ultimately paved the way for her future.

After taking Information Technology classes, Cash began working as a data specialist for hospitals, became a director of technology, an executive director, a project manager, and eventually received a Ph.D. in Education Studies in 2018.

“One of my personal goals within this position is to be a mentor in supporting our team,” Cash said. “Also, as a unit to continue supporting the university in new initiatives that allows everyone to do their job in the best interest of the students.”

Cash will continue to enhance the students’ experience at Ball State University to help make a difference in the future of both education and technology with her new promotion.
