Grace McKee entered Ball State’s IT world in January as the new Technology Store Assistant Manager. Jonah Haley, Technology Store Manager, welcomed Grace excitedly and believes she will be a “huge help” to the store.

In this position, McKee will be responsible for keeping records on daily store activities. On days that Haley is not present at the store, McKee will step in and take over his responsibilities. McKee will also speak with parents on technology deals the store has, and train students and new hires to help the store run smoothly.

I am most excited to join the Unified Technology Team and be able to assist both students and faculty,” McKee said. “I also am excited about the opportunities to increase my knowledge within the tech industry.”

Since 2019, McKee has been a manager at various stores and has continuously worked in customer service. She has gained extensive experience in these jobs, and it has given her an advantage in her current position.

Haley noted McKee’s supreme customer service skills that he could see throughout her interview. Her evident skills combined with her experience made McKee an obvious suitable candidate for this position.

“I believe Grace will be a huge help to the UTS department,” Haley said. “Her organizational ability and creativity have already helped make the store a better and more organized space… she will bring new and fresh ideas to the table that will greatly improve the customer’s experience.”

Outside of her new job, McKee plays video games, enjoys crafting and takes care of her two cats, Mikey and Mira. Additionally, McKee is also the director for a local Indianapolis anime convention, which she states is a ton of fun.
