Jerry Pierce, Senior IT Support Technologist for the Unified Technology Support Department, won an IT Director Award at this year’s ceremony. Pierce has worked for Ball State University for 21 years and is known for his impressive work ethic. 

Laura Petty, Director of Unified Technology Support, had nothing but great things to say about Pierce’s university impact. 

“Jerry always goes above and beyond to assist clients and coworkers,” Petty said. “He has a very strong technical skill set and an excellent project management style, which makes him a real asset for key initiatives.” 

Pierce said he was, “Surprised and humbled to be honored with the award.” 

Pierce always strives to do his best and often volunteers to lead projects that are vital for both UTS and CCIM clients. Pierce says his favorite part of working for Ball State is the relationships he builds with colleagues, faculty, and students. Be sure to congratulate Pierce on his award!
