With the addition of the 5Ghz “bsuconnect” wireless network last year, Unified Communications is now in the process of retiring the “bsusecure” wireless network. We plan to retire “bsusecure” fully at the end of Spring Semester, 2020. A large majority of wireless devices on campus— including computers, tablets, and phones—will be able to use the new 5Ghz network, but there are some devices that will still require a 2.4Ghz network for wireless access.
For those devices, we are providing instructions on how to set them up access the “eduroam” wireless network. This Technology HelpDesk article provides access to instructions for each type of device that students, faculty, or staff need to connect to “eduroam.”
If you have students, faculty, or staff who have additional questions or need help connecting their devices to any of the Ball State wireless networks, please have them contact the Technology Help Desk by submitting a ticket at https://www.bsu.edu/helpdesk, or by calling the HelpDesk at 765-285-1517.
