My name is Chelsea Davis, and I am a graduate student in the Sport and Exercise Psychology Program at Ball State University. I am on a research team with Lindsey Blom, Grayson Smith, and Justin White. We are writing to let you know about an opportunity to participate in a study, Using the Perspective of NCAA Coaches and Black Female Student-Athletes to Design Culturally Supportive Environments (2102951). We’re conducting a research study which uses the voices of Black female student-athletes to design culturally supportive sport environments and you are invited to participate in the study. If you agree, you will participate in an interview and receive $25 for your participation through Cashapp, Zelle or Venmo deposit.
Some of the questions that you’d answer would look like:
How does/ did your supportive coach create an environment where you can be authentic?
How does/ did your supportive coach validate your emotional experiences?
What do you want coaches, in general, to know about how to create a supportive environment?
In this study, you will:
